Happy Friday y'all, today I want to talk about what it means to lead a meaningful life. what does living a meaningful life look like to you? For each of us this can look different, Brendon Burchard answered this question so beautifully he simply states at the end of my life did I live?, did I love?, did I matter? Let that sit with you for just a second, I didn't like my answer to the first question. About 4 years ago. I didn't feel alive inside, going through the motions each day numbing my anxiety with cheap wine and hard liquor while eating my emotions which looked like a whole box of red vines or a stick of sweet tarts or sour straws. Did I love yes but not in the way my husband children and family deserved. Did I matter, well I didn't feel like I did because my confidence was next to nothing and I often lived off borrowed energy from gas station energy drinks and before I had children those terrible awful No-doz caffeine pills, just to pretend I had my shit together. Yep this girl was a train wreck! It wasn't until I really started to focus on what I was telling myself that the shift began and my answers started to change to these three questions. The point is you can chose to write and rewrite your story as many times as it takes to create your version of a meaningful life. You are the author of your story, let God do the narration to guide you each time you turn the page and soon you'll find less days attempting to survive through the valleys and more days celebrating on the peaks of mountains you've climbed. Always lead into life's challenges with an open heart of humility and grace I heard this morning on Rachel Hollis's Rise podcast a great little nugget of wisdom, "just because life is full of rainbows doesn't mean it's easy." So ask yourself those three questions and if your not happy with the answer, well trust in God and you'll know what to do.
