Why you should remove the word diet!

Good afternoon my y'all, I hope your having a ebullient and joy filled day. Today as I'm sitting in bed with a fever and feeling like a train ran over me, I decided to share a bit about why I don't diet! I hate the word really! there is a reason why the word die is in diet. Now most of y'all know I have never been over weight really but in my mind I was huge! Diets are way too restricting and set many up for failure form day one. I'ts always the mindset of I'll start my diet tomorrow or I'll have a little cheat day today then start over tomorrow. it become this vicious cycle of procrastination and since of lack mindset that your unconsciousness is telling you this was a bad idea but if I keep saying I'm going to do it I'll eventually talk myself into it! anybody ever felt that way? Well let's say you actually start a diet how sustainable is it? will you be able to stay consistent for more then 6 months? These are question I like to ask my clients before we sit and discuss their health and wellness goals.

The truth is there are no realistic results that come with dieting but if your open to looking at changing your lifestyle then we can make some real lasting change in your life.

What if I told you it's the habits you are creating that are the key to results you actually can sustain and keep for years.

Let's face it we live in an on the go lifestyle these days especially if your a gen X'er like myself or even a Millennial that is just trying to stay healthy and balanced living the college life. What I found for myself was starting with one thing I wanted to change like my breakfast and getting up just a few minuets early to sit in gratitude in the morning has been such a great way to start my day and it has helped me to create a habit that made a shift in how my day goes from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. Ask yourself what is one small shift you can make in changing a habit you have that is not serving you? What could you do instead that will allow you the freedom of choice to take you to the next level of creating a joy filled and ebullient live.
